Take the lead in promoting and communicating the material health and transparency of Kohler's Kitchen & Bath (K&B) products through various platforms. Provide education and support to the marketing and communications teams, as well as customers, regarding transparency labels and product choices necessary for achieving sustainability-related building certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Life Cycle Inventories (LCIs) using both internal data and external datasets to assess the environmental impact of Kohler products on a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) level.
  • Generate Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) based on existing LCI data for K&B products, aligning with customer needs and sustainability strategies. Ensure timely updates of EPDs on the Kohler Transparency website.
  • Collaborate closely with the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) to draft and manage Declare labels for K&B products, ensuring timely updates on the Kohler Transparency website.
  • Enhance and refine existing tools and channels that convey product transparency for K&B products, adding value for both Kohler and its clientele.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing & Communications team to refresh transparency labels on the Kohler website and frequently asked questions pages for customers.
  • Address customer inquiries for specialized forms and large projects, reviewing sales requests and transferring information into tracking systems. Create response templates and extract product information from Kohler's database.
  • Maintain clear communication with the team regarding customer inquiries, demonstrating a high level of expertise in our capabilities.
  • Promote sustainability as a key innovation and brand value through direct engagement with marketing channels and support for Kohler's sustainability communication efforts.
  • Ensure timely updates of memberships, licenses, and contracts related to Product Transparency.
  • Design and implement training programs for the sales team and other essential stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, materials, chemical, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in generating product transparency documentation or a relevant combination of education and experience is desired.
  • Familiarity with Product Category Rules (PCR), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is advantageous.
