Your Contributions
Demonstrate your expertise: Utilize engineering principles and systematic problem-solving techniques to design and validate components, subsystems, or products. Engage in technical feasibility assessments of new ideas. Work closely with engineering colleagues for insights, feedback, and thorough reviews to elevate the quality of your technical contributions.

Collaborate for success: Work alongside your cross-functional partners in Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Industrial Design. Tackle challenging decisions directly and leverage diverse team perspectives to craft superior solutions. Propose actionable steps and align with business leadership to expedite the launch of high-quality products.

Leverage Global Expertise: Connect with Centers of Excellence and Technical Centers worldwide to fulfill project objectives and encourage parts reuse.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Assess designs for environmental sustainability and suggest enhancements. Engage with customers or experts to identify installation requirements and opportunities for quality advancements.

Maximize your attention to detail as an engineer. Organize and manage test requests, bills of materials, engineering timelines, technical communications, and other engineering tasks in support of new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities


• Document and achieve product specifications: customer, regulatory, and technical requirements.

• Ensure functional acceptability through the application of engineering tools, analysis, and testing.

• Develop detailed project and/or technical plans for product development and/or enhancement.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, support staff, and external groups on product design, documentation, development, drafting, prototype construction, and testing of product concepts.

• Document and share experiences to disseminate knowledge within and outside the department.

• Contribute to the enhancement of products and processes.

• Utilize CAD software for the realization of concepts or designs.

• Occasional travel to engage with suppliers, customers, trade shows, and other Kohler locations as necessary.



Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

• A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience.

• Previous experience in new product design and optimization of existing products is preferred.

• Proficiency in 3D Modeling.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

• Self-motivated with strong creative problem-solving skills.

• Capability to independently test, analyze, and resolve technical challenges.

• Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors including the candidate's experience, education, and work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
