Strategic ASI is looking for a Cybersecurity Support Engineer to enhance their operations. Clearance TS/SCI CI:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively as a vital member of the Data Analytics team, engaging with cyber architects and cloud security subject matter experts to gather essential stakeholder requirements and convert them into system use-case methodologies and technical specifications.
  • Deliver data analytics support and expertise in data science for specialized cybersecurity applications and extensive data analytical systems.
  • Gather and assess information on enterprise data sources, formats, and key stakeholder use cases. Integrate data sets into a unified schema by merging various event types to create enriched datasets.
  • Aid in technical design, documentation, testing, and resolution of identified bugs and defects.
  • Support the integration of metadata, data management, and search tools into a comprehensive Cybersecurity Data Catalog.
  • Transform data into actionable insights through intelligent analytics. Define raw input requirements for data models, ensuring prompt analysis and summary reporting for informed decision-making.
  • Uphold professional commitments through efficient work habits, including meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and effectively coordinating resources and meetings.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux scripting and automation using Bash, Python, and/or Java.
  • Proficient in installing and managing COTS applications on RHEL and/or CentOS Linux.
  • Skilled in building, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting AWS instances.
  • Expertise in Ansible Automation (or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with Elastic; DevOps experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform is a plus.
  • Provide development support for emerging requirements in event ingestion and transformation into a unified data schema.
  • Design and develop Elastic Beats or Logstash configurations for effective data collection.
  • Establish and implement a Data Governance Workflow, focusing on metadata, data sources, data quality, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certifications.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
  • Experience with streaming data tools and software, such as Apache or Confluent Kafka.
  • Background in Data Integration, Data Engineering, and Data Lake implementations using ETL, Big Data, and Cloud Technology.
