As a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting Defensive Cyber Operations, ensuring the effective management and delivery of cybersecurity expertise and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Navy Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS) collection system server and its configurations to uphold confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
2. Administer server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, and messaging while performing systems monitoring.
3. Provide consultation on network, application, and customer service issues to enhance computer systems' security and sustainability.
4. Escalate issues to support solution development and report compliance status in accordance with Navy directives.
5. Manage the ticketing system and monitor/analyze ePO rollup event feeds, responding according to approved Navy TTPs/SOPs.
6. Troubleshoot HBSS product issues and outages, and conduct reviews of HBSS threat events.
7. Maintain a secure and organized facility, complete required training, and record labor hours in an online corporate system.
8. Travel may be required up to 10% as necessary.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of IT experience is essential.
• At least 2 years of previous helpdesk experience is necessary.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification is required to start.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
• General Service (GENSER)/Secret clearance is necessary to begin.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficiency in working with the McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention System.
• Experience with McAfee Data Loss Prevention Endpoint products.
• Familiarity with McAfee HBSS ePO administration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) server.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Self-starter with the capability to identify issues and develop action plans for resolution.
• Strong initiative, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as requested.
• Flexibility in shift work is required.
