Position Overview

As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect, you will play a crucial role in delivering cybersecurity support to large-scale clients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the Information Assurance and Security of applications, databases, and enterprise network services. You will also engage in activities related to the implementation of cybersecurity policies and network solutions tailored to client-specific systems and software initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate organizational progress against established security strategies and directives.
  • Provide expert guidance and consultation in information security.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security framework.
  • Design and deploy security-related technologies.
  • Ensure compliance of new and existing products with information security policies and best practices.
  • Review system designs for adherence to security standards.
  • Analyze current security strategies and implementation plans.
  • Explore alternatives in response to client requirements.
  • Mentor and cross-train team members as necessary.
  • Create policies, programs, and guidelines for effective implementation.
Work Environment and Travel

This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel as required.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years focused on Cybersecurity.
  • Experience in auditing.
  • Background in information security risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with third-party security assessment tools.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical experts and senior leadership.
  • Capacity to interpret complex technical issues and convey them as actionable business and risk guidance.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems and networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer vulnerabilities and cybersecurity threats.
  • Expertise in recognized cybersecurity risk frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) and their application in enterprise settings.
  • Experience with enterprise-level information security programs, including governance, risk assessment, and security education.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Adept at utilizing trusted information sources to stay updated on cybersecurity trends and solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaboration and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to consult effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, time management skills, and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience is preferred.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • CISSP designation is preferred.
  • Desire to pursue technical certifications for ongoing professional development.
