Position Overview

Role Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis processes for designated business units within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Spearhead the regular forecasting, strategic planning, and analytical processes for assigned operational sectors.
  • Closing Support: Collaborate with the Cost Accounting team and North American accounting personnel to ensure compliance with US GAAP, engaging with business stakeholders to accurately convey the nature of financial activities.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with various business units, becoming a trusted financial advisor.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business partners and FP&A colleagues to comprehend operational activities and their implications on the financial framework, providing actionable insights.
  • Reporting: Generate and disseminate monthly and quarterly performance metrics for review with business and finance stakeholders. Assist in the development of advanced reporting tools and data visualization techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing enhancements in business processes, including technological advancements and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience in the global Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial procedures.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of resolving conflicts and fostering consensus.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong focus on prioritization and responsibility management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and analytical tools, with experience in financial and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Smart View, and Anaplan.

Educational Background:

  • Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or related quantitative fields; CPA and/or CMA certification is a plus.
