Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned healthcare executive to assume the role of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives within our Healthcare Quality Reporting and Improvement (HQRI) division. This division is pivotal in elevating health outcomes and enriching the care experience for our members and provider partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse array of strategic and developmental projects, focusing on both business unit strategies and enterprise-level collaborations.
- Transform strategic priorities into actionable business cases and projects, ensuring alignment and timely execution.
- Enhance strategies related to Risk Adjustment and Quality Metrics, integrating existing initiatives with new opportunities.
- Utilize industry insights to pinpoint new avenues for maintaining a competitive edge in Risk Adjustment and Quality Metrics.
- Collaborate with corporate and market partners to conceptualize and implement innovative opportunities.
- Work alongside Government Affairs to stay ahead of emerging regulations and policies.
- Engage with Retail leaders to create comprehensive reporting for Quality Metrics and Risk Adjustment.
- Establish and oversee annual operational goals and key performance indicators for HQRI.
- Support merger and acquisition evaluations focused on enhancing risk adjustment capabilities.
- Monitor trends and external opportunities, cultivating a professional network in strategic areas.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry, specifically on the payer side, with a focus on strategy development for substantial business units.
- A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in large-scale initiatives.
- A bachelor's degree in a pertinent field; an MBA is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- The ability to navigate complex business challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Exceptional relationship-building capabilities, fostering collaboration across various departments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
- Experience in vendor management and familiarity with Medicare Quality Metrics or Risk Adjustment is advantageous.
