Position Title: Outreach Specialist

Role Overview: The Outreach Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating access to outreach benefits for the community. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring effective enrollment assistance and support for individuals seeking outreach services.

  1. Training and Development: Engage in comprehensive training and certification to acquire a thorough understanding of outreach benefits.
  2. Enrollment Coordination: Schedule and conduct enrollment assistance independently at various designated locations.
  3. Customer Support: Assist individuals in navigating the outreach benefits self-service portal during the enrollment process.
  4. Application Tracking: Monitor the status of pending applications and manage the upload of necessary customer documentation.
  5. ID Verification: Submit documentation for Manual ID Verification for clients who cannot verify their identity through standard processes.
  6. Information Delivery: Provide accurate and impartial information and services to clients.
  7. Cultural Competence: Ensure that information is delivered in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner, catering to the diverse needs of the population served.
  8. Inquiry Management: Respond to customer inquiries by confirming understanding, gathering information, and ensuring clarity in communication.
  9. Reporting: Generate and submit weekly reports detailing key metrics such as applications, enrollments, demographics, and assistance provided.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in facilitating enrollment in Qualified Health Plans (QHP)
  • Knowledge of insurance affordability programs
  • Familiarity with public service assistance programs

  • Ability to deliver fair and accurate information
  • Cultural and linguistic sensitivity
  • Effective customer inquiry response

Job Type: This is a Contract-to-Hire position.

Work Environment: This role is hybrid, requiring both on-site and remote work.
