Job Description

As an Outreach Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating access to essential benefits for the community. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Engaging in training and certification initiatives to thoroughly understand the various outreach benefits available.
2. Independently arranging and executing enrollment assistance at specified venues.
3. Assisting individuals as they enroll or input their information into the outreach benefits self-service portal.
4. Monitoring the progress of pending applications and uploading necessary customer documentation.
5. Submitting documentation for Manual ID Verification for clients who cannot verify their identity through standard methods.
6. Delivering information and services in a fair, accurate, and impartial manner.

Providing culturally and linguistically appropriate information tailored to the needs of the populations served, including those with limited English proficiency, utilizing available resources such as fact sheets and translation services.

Responding to customer inquiries by confirming understanding, gathering and researching relevant information, and ensuring clarity in communication.


9.

Generating and submitting weekly reports detailing key metrics, including application numbers, enrollments, renewals, demographics of individuals served, hours worked, and types of referrals.


Essential Skills

- Proficiency in facilitating enrollment in Qualified Health Plans (QHP)
- Knowledge of insurance affordability programs
- Familiarity with public service assistance programs

Interpersonal Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1 Year(s).

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of on-site presence and remote work.

Daily Responsibilities:

You will travel to various locations to provide resources and assistance to individuals in need, including those at shelters and community organizations. Your schedule will be flexible, requiring 35 hours of work per week, with varying hours based on daily requirements.


Equipment will be provided, and reliable transportation is necessary. While there is no mileage reimbursement, you will be compensated for travel time.
