Job Description

As an Outreach Specialist, you will engage in various training and certification initiatives to acquire comprehensive knowledge of outreach benefits. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Independently organizing and executing enrollment assistance at specified venues.
2. Assisting individuals as they register or input their information into the outreach benefits self-service portal.
3. Monitoring the progress of pending applications and uploading necessary customer documentation.
4. Submitting documentation for Manual ID Verification for clients who cannot verify their identity through standard methods.
5. Delivering information and services in a fair, precise, and unbiased manner.
6.

Providing information in a culturally and linguistically suitable manner for the populations served, including those with limited English proficiency, utilizing available resources such as fact sheets and language assistance services.

7.

Addressing customer inquiries by confirming comprehension of each question; gathering and researching relevant information; compiling and delivering information; and ensuring the customer understands the provided information.

8.

Generating and submitting weekly reports that detail essential data, including but not limited to application numbers, enrollments, renewals, demographics of individuals served, hours worked on-site and for enrollment assistance, referral statistics, appointment counts, and individuals assisted.


Required Skills

Hard Skills:
- Facilitating enrollment in Qualified Health Plans (QHP)
- Knowledge of insurance affordability programs
- Familiarity with public service assistance programs

Soft Skills:
- Delivery of fair and accurate information
- Cultural and linguistic sensitivity
- Effective response to customer inquiries

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1 Year(s).

Work Environment
This role is hybrid, requiring some days on-site and some days remote.

Daily Responsibilities:

Traveling to various locations to provide resources (such as shelters and community centers) to assist individuals in signing up for essential services, including food and benefits.

Flexibility is key, with a requirement of 35 hours per week, with varying daily schedules. You may work different hours on different days, including weekends, without exceeding 35 hours per week.

Equipment will be provided, and reliable transportation is necessary.
