Position Summary:

The University of New Mexico is seeking a detail-oriented Pediatric Education Administrative Coordinator to join our Office of Education team. This role involves managing the Pediatric Grand Rounds and supporting the Residency Program, offering a full-time administrative position with the opportunity for remote work two days a week after the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, your daily tasks will include:
- Processing reimbursements and managing purchases, including travel arrangements and catering services.
- Tracking program requirements and collecting necessary documentation from residents and faculty.
- Assisting in the recruitment and orientation processes for residents.
- Scheduling and organizing meetings, including taking minutes and preparing necessary materials.
- Creating promotional materials for presentations and monitoring attendance.
- Ensuring adherence to accreditation standards.
About the Office of Education:
Our office operates within the Department of Pediatrics, which is part of the UNM School of Medicine. We are dedicated to collaborating with faculty and learners to facilitate exceptional pediatric education for medical students and physicians at various training levels. Our team coordinates five educational programs and is part of a supportive network of pediatric medical education coordinators nationwide.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Higher education credentials may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- A capacity for self-directed learning.
- Proficiency in data gathering, report preparation, and technical tools such as Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with UNM policies and procedures and experience in medical education.
