Job Summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Medical Education Scheduling Coordinator in the Department of Pediatrics. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining a clinical and educational schedule for the residents of the Pediatric Residency Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and coordination of day-to-day resident schedules, making necessary adjustments throughout the year
  • Principle liaison and problem solver for all scheduling issues
  • Creation of annual block schedule for residents, including any away rotations
  • Facilitating scheduling of special seminars, training sessions, meetings, and special projects throughout the year
  • Maintaining records and running reports for schedule-related data
  • Writing, updating, and maintaining program policies and procedures as they pertain to scheduling
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Experience working with complex schedules a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency, especially in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated experience working in a detailed software system
  • Experience with data entry
  • Experience creating data reports
  • Ability to function in a deadline-driven environment
