Control Systems Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Instrument Technician plays a crucial role in the testing, installation, calibration, repair, and inspection of manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.
- Diagnose and conduct routine maintenance on various instrumentation systems.
- Design and implement new measurement systems.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and preventative measures.
- Analyze conduit drawings, schematics, and electrical specifications to assess work requirements.
- Utilize electrical tools and equipment such as hydraulic benders and volt meters.
- Identify, isolate, and rectify electrical issues using specialized testing instruments.
- Evaluate electrical equipment for safety and operational efficiency.
- Plan and organize the layout and wiring for new or modified installations.
- Estimate project costs, timelines, and necessary materials.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of electrical components and related documentation.
- Prepare reports and conduct safety audits as necessary.
- Exhibit strong mathematical and computer skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of PLC systems.
- Adhere to company and client policies and procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability in all operations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in instrumentation or mechanical maintenance.
- At least five (5) years of experience in the Industrial or Oil and Gas sectors.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is essential.
