Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team at our operations. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our instrumentation systems in a challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Journeyman-level duties related to instrumentation within the operational field.
- Conduct maintenance activities on industrial process control systems, including calibration, testing, and repair of electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instruments.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative measures.
- Oversee the installation of instrumentation and control systems in classified environments.
- Facilitate functional checkouts and commissioning of new equipment.
- Utilize test and calibration equipment proficiently.
- Adhere to safe work practices and engage in safety programs.
- Collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
Qualifications:
- Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Associate's Degree or Technical School Degree in Instrumentation or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of instrumentation experience in an industrial setting.
- 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector is essential.
- Ability to participate in performance enhancement programs.
- Willingness to work in remote Arctic locations and endure harsh weather conditions.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of field experience in instrumentation.
- Proven track record of achieving Zero Incident Health, Safety, and Environmental results.
- Ability to interpret and modify P&ID drawings.
- Demonstrated leadership in fostering a Zero Incident Culture.
- Experience with industrial equipment and automation control systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to make informed decisions based on available data.
