POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coiled Tubing Operator Technician plays a vital role in the mobilization and maintenance of coiled tubing equipment. This position involves the safe setup and operation of equipment, including the rigging and movement of units to various job sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate fluid and nitrogen pumps independently.
  • Manage coiled tubing units and associated equipment autonomously.
  • Transport equipment to job locations using various vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough pre-job and post-job inspections of all equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of coiled tubing units.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment during operations to maintain optimal performance.
  • Train assistants in equipment operation and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a positive work attitude and follow directives from the Unit Operator.
  • Participate in all safety programs and protocols.
  • Act as the designated 'Spill Champion' on-site.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in rigging up hoses and hardlines to wellheads.
  • Provide regular updates on job status and conditions to the Unit Operator.
  • Be prepared to work on-call as needed.
  • Drive safely in challenging weather conditions.
  • Utilize computers and radios for communication and reporting.
  • Understand wellhead valves and safety systems, and recognize hazards associated with pressurized equipment.
  • Be willing to work in extreme Arctic conditions.
  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of one year of experience with coiled tubing units, including equipment startup and high-pressure pumping.
  • Knowledge of fluid pumps and related equipment is essential.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Three years of experience in coiled tubing operations is preferred.
  • Valid Class A CDL is advantageous.
  • Current Medical DOT Card and Hazmat endorsement are preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employees will work in remote locations under Arctic conditions, with lodging and meals provided. Each facility offers various amenities to ensure comfort during assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The role requires meeting specific physical demands to perform essential functions safely. A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted post-offer.
