Position Overview
We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Central United States. This pivotal position will focus on crafting and executing a comprehensive strategic plan for the region. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the selection and oversight of distribution and sales partners, driving consistent revenue and profit growth. Key responsibilities include:

Sales Growth
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives while ensuring sustained revenue growth.
  • Develop and manage a strategic plan to enhance lead generation and sales opportunities, including:
    • Identifying key accounts and understanding local market dynamics.
    • Creating a detailed business development plan for the territory.
    • Implementing strategies to cultivate new business.
    • Establishing a staffing plan to support all strategies.
    • Conducting market analysis to enhance market share.
    • Performing competitive analysis to understand key players and pricing strategies.
  • Engage with top-tier distributors and partners.
  • Build strong relationships with the National Sales team and Field Services.
  • Collaborate with distributors to monitor performance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with sales personnel.
  • Work closely with Marketing on promotional activities and events.
  • Implement and communicate all sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Complete required reporting in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a digital mindset regarding software and analytics.
  • Manage expenses in line with budgetary guidelines.
  • Address escalations related to sales and operations.
People Development
  • Ensure high standards of people management, continuously analyzing and improving team dynamics.
  • Foster talent development through coaching and training initiatives.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales or channel management, particularly in electrical distribution or related sectors.

  • Strong technical knowledge in complex technologies and systems.
  • A degree in business or a technical field is preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
