Position Overview:
The Automation Engineering Lead serves as the primary authority and resource for technical expertise and engineering design related to controls, automation, and electrical systems within our product line.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the prioritization, scheduling, and assignment of engineering tasks.
- Directly supervise daily operations concerning controls, automation, and electrical systems design and integration to meet quality, cost, and innovation targets.
- Ensure that technical documentation and specifications for control systems align with company standards, providing adequate detail for procurement and manufacturing processes.

Additional Duties:
- Facilitate trial runs of programmed machinery to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate and manage design initiatives for assigned systems.
- Provide technical support to sales, product management, and aftermarket services.
- Collaborate with the engineering management team to enhance processes and designs.
- Design and develop both standard and prototype products for the assigned systems.
- Mentor and guide team members, managing their daily activities and performance.

Qualifications:
- A degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls, automation, and electrical systems design and integration.
- At least 5 years of experience in the design of mining or construction machinery.
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical safety regulations and standards.
- Understanding of electronic circuit boards, processors, and programming languages for embedded systems is preferred.
