Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a Senior Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to join our team in Ontario, CA.

This role entails comprehensive project management, including the establishment of project-specific goals and policies. You will provide leadership and direction to project managers, ensuring adherence to company and project standards while serving as the primary liaison between AECOM and our clients.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing project execution to ensure compliance with design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines through effective management of subordinate teams. You will also be accountable for the project from initial budgeting and scheduling through procurement and contract completion, with significant profit and loss responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer license with the ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to leadership
  • At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in the field
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management
  • Proven project management experience with small to medium-sized highway projects, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of project development
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
