As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and enhancing plant efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing accounting functions and optimizing performance metrics within the manufacturing environment.
- Facilitating accurate financial reporting and enhancing inventory management practices.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain departments to boost warehouse and plant efficiency, ensuring performance targets are met.
- Plan and execute physical inventory counts, followed by thorough reconciliations.
- Analyze adjustments, inventory movements, and transaction reports to provide insights.
- Assist in the monthly financial closing process, ensuring the precision of both automated and manual entries.
- Prepare journal entries and conduct account reconciliations to support month-end closing activities.
- Compile and analyze monthly data on scrap and shrinkage, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
- Engage with teams to drive plant performance and meet operational goals.
- Document transactions related to contract manufacturers and report findings to key stakeholders.
- Perform reconciliations for significant balance sheet accounts, including inventory and amounts due to/from suppliers.
- Manage the tracking and reporting of capital expenditures and fixed assets across corporate and operational divisions.
- Contribute to the development of standard costing processes and methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, budgeting, and cost control, along with GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and business intelligence tools (Power BI).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, IFS, JDE, Deacom).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to perform complex data analysis.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of fostering collaborative relationships.
- Experience with automated accounting systems is essential; familiarity with Deacom is advantageous.
Competitive salary range of $70,000-$90,000, along with 401k, medical, vision, and dental benefits.
