Job Summary:

US Main is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Lead to manage overall project schedules and budgets for multiple projects on the west coast of the US. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction project management, with a strong background in managing teams and ensuring project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, including reporting and tracking progress.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including user criteria and scope of work.
  • Manage project engineers and ensure they are reviewing specifications, utility standards, and drawings.
  • Coordinate with customers and ensure their needs are met.
  • Monitor and review shop drawings and submittals.
  • Attend job site meetings and ensure project progress is on track.
  • Review and validate vendor and contractor payment applications.
  • Evaluate and negotiate change directives and change orders.
  • Oversee the contractor's Quality Control program and ensure it adheres to project plans.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with projects valued at $1M or greater.
  • Strong technical knowledge of design/building construction engineering and schedule management.
  • Experience managing teams of project engineers, construction coordinators, and safety personnel.
  • Experience working in construction of light industrial facilities, warehouses, and office spaces.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of project scheduling and estimating.
  • General understanding of construction safety programs and requirements.

Software Skills:

  • AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio, PlanGrid.
