Position Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to oversee projects in Ontario, CA.

This role involves comprehensive project management, including the establishment of specific objectives and policies tailored to each project. The successful candidate will serve as a primary liaison between AECOM and clients, ensuring adherence to company and project guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and direction to project managers and teams.
  • Ensuring project execution aligns with design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from budgeting and scheduling to procurement and contract finalization.
  • Assuming significant profit and loss responsibility for assigned projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates equivalent proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer license with the ability to obtain California PE within a year if not currently registered.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to communication and team management.
  • At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, particularly in highway projects.
  • Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
