You will engage with a diverse group of professionals, including engineers, technicians, manufacturing staff, and project coordinators, to fulfill customer expectations and adhere to industry benchmarks.

Position Overview:

The perfect candidate will have previous experience in the commercial and industrial HVAC sectors. They will possess a balanced understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering, along with proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and bid documents, aimed at enhancing our electrical products, systems, and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calculations to ensure compliance with global safety standards, collaborating with technicians and software developers to address emerging challenges.
  • Investigate manufacturing methodologies and evaluate data trends to develop new products.
  • Provide engineering design, maintenance assistance, and training to manufacturing teams while assessing both new and existing equipment to maximize efficiency, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design and execute experiments, gather data, interpret findings, conduct analyses, and prepare reports, demonstrating the ability to draw conclusions and resolve discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes.
  • Plan and manage the maintenance of moderately complex engineering solutions, including documentation, reporting, and delivering technical presentations to ensure visibility of solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop new equipment and machinery to support the internal needs of Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Assist in the assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of new equipment to ensure production capabilities.
  • Establish maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards for both current and new equipment to guarantee proper operation, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance to identify opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and system reliability.
  • Propose and implement improvements, upgrades, or retrofits to optimize system performance.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including system schematics, control narratives, and user manuals for all products.
  • Generate regular progress reports and project updates for the internal team.
  • Collaborate with external laboratory teams to qualify new products.
  • Encourage adherence to safety protocols during system installation and commissioning.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, facility managers, and maintenance personnel regarding the operation and upkeep of our products.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshoot issues faced by customers and team members.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department to specify new components for innovation, execute new product launches, or fulfill additional component requirements.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, packaging, and thermal management of electronics.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Automated Logic Controls, Delta Controls, Siemens Climatix Controls.
  • Experience with ePlan design software.
  • Knowledge of UL1995, UL, UL508A, and NEC standards.
  • Experience with certification agencies such as UL and/or Intertek.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, MS Basic, .Net, and C#.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of electronic subsystems and circuit boards.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to ASME Y14.5).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles.
  • Ability to interpret simple schematics.
  • Experience collaborating as part of a cross-functional team throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent prioritization and project management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities across all levels of leadership.

Travel Requirements:

· Travel may be required up to 15%.
