Job Overview:

As a Senior Construction Project Manager at Computech Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive project timeline and financial plan for various construction initiatives. Your role will involve meticulous management reporting primarily focused on projects located in the western region of the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain the overall project schedule and budget, ensuring accurate management reporting across multiple projects.

2. Generate project status updates that encompass schedule adherence, budget compliance, safety measures, and any outstanding issues.

3. Assess contractor performance regarding cost efficiency and schedule alignment.

4. Create detailed user criteria documentation to guide facility project activities.

5. Formulate the scope of work necessary for procuring architectural, engineering, and construction services.

6. Supervise Project Engineers in reviewing specifications, utility standards, and drawings while coordinating with clients.

7. Facilitate and coordinate site visits for architects and engineers, addressing contractor inquiries effectively.

8. Oversee the delivery and evaluation of shop drawings and submittals.

9. Participate in job site meetings with contractors and consultants to track progress on various activities.

10. Conduct initial assessments of vendor and contractor payment requests, ensuring alignment with the approved schedule of values.

11. Analyze, negotiate, and provide recommendations on proposed change directives and change orders.

12. Manage the contractor's Quality Control program, ensuring adherence to established quality control procedures.

Required Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in project management within a construction or engineering firm.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, handling multiple projects concurrently.

3. Demonstrated experience with construction projects valued at $1M or more.

4. Strong technical knowledge of design, construction engineering, and schedule management.

5. Experience leading teams of project engineers, construction coordinators, and safety personnel.

6. Background in the construction of light industrial facilities, warehouses, or office spaces.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) at an intermediate to advanced level.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

1. Technical expertise in project scheduling and estimating.

2. General knowledge of construction safety programs and regulations.

3. Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio, and PlanGrid.
