We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to become part of our Field Application Engineering Team within the Digital Channel. This team aims to deliver exceptional technical service and support to prospects and clients, concentrating on PCB Design and Data Management. We believe that offering a uniquely supportive experience can enhance product adoption, ensure long-term customer loyalty, and increase revenue by positively influencing the perception of the Altium brand.

A typical day for our Technical Solutions Engineer

  • Conduct technical discovery sessions, sales presentations, and product demonstrations that highlight value propositions.
  • Develop and present high-quality technical content to support sales and marketing initiatives, both live and on-demand.
  • Quickly understand client technical and business challenges while establishing credibility with prospects, customers, and partners.
  • As a technical authority, shorten the sales cycle by assisting the Sales Team in driving the sales process for designated opportunities and accounts.
  • Broaden the sales pipeline within targeted accounts and act as the primary technical liaison.
  • Engage in strategic and tactical planning to drive and close sales/business opportunities.
  • Promote the adoption and value of Altium's product suite by increasing subscription commitments, renewals, and brand loyalty.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge by exploring technical resources and the Altium product roadmap.
  • Possess knowledge of competitor offerings, features, various technologies, and business acumen to strategically position Altium's capabilities to prospects and customers.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
  • A strong desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with enthusiasm for Altium's corporate goals, vision, products, and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer is essential.
  • Experience in creating technical content, conducting demonstrations, and presenting technical information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in groups and one-on-one.
  • A solid grasp of PCB Design, Data Management, and Cloud Solutions.
  • Experience with PCB Simulation & Analysis (SPICE, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity) is advantageous.
  • Ability to align business needs with appropriate technical solutions.
  • Capability to perform mid-level Application Engineering, Support, and Sales functions as necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize and proactively manage tasks and initiatives without direct supervision.
  • Willingness and capacity to travel on short notice.

The salary range for this position is {$100,000-$150,000}. Actual compensation packages within this range depend on various factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
