Design and Methodology

Collaborate closely with various business units, application teams, infrastructure sectors, and vendors to identify, assess, and evaluate solution requirements. Explore and recommend strategic opportunities for virtualization, consolidation, and rationalization within the infrastructure or business. Suggest modifications to the technical architecture and design solutions as necessary. Assess and align strategic solutions across infrastructure platforms, focusing on system hardware and software technologies. Engage in long-term capacity planning and technology investment discussions.

Technical Consulting

Deliver consulting and planning support for moderately to highly complex projects/programs. Work in conjunction with other functional infrastructure departments on multiple initiatives to achieve shared organizational and business objectives. Contribute to project teams by providing insights on architectural design, integration opportunities, and planning for complex systems, ensuring alignment with established strategies and guiding principles.

Planning and Organizing

Identify and assess projects/programs/initiatives, designing processes that enhance and rationalize current and future solutions. Translate requirements into standardized service solutions, pinpointing opportunities for integration or technology reuse while delivering cost-effective solutions for complex projects/programs. Review and manage requirements for intricate solutions, conducting cost-value, feasibility, and risk analyses.

Risk Management

Engage in the development and refinement of architectural standards, guiding principles, rationales, and strategies. Evaluate and authorize complex design solutions for business and infrastructure projects or initiatives.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field, OR equivalent experience through a combination of education and/or technology experience, OR 12 years of technology experience with at least 6 years focused on identifying technical solutions for complex business challenges, assessing the benefits and risks of those solutions, and providing informed recommendations.
