Information and Guest Services Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Information and Guest Services Representative to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and greet guests in a courteous and professional manner, providing directions and information about Medical Center services and policies.
- Respond to requests for visitor passes, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with established visitor policies.
- Provide assistance with wayfinding, including distributing maps and providing directions to Medical Center services.
- Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner, taking accurate messages and referring callers as needed.
- Enforce Access Control policies, alerting Security to any violations and assisting with Code 76 procedures.
- Resolve operational challenges and guest complaints in a positive and professional manner, referring complex issues to the Consumer Affairs Department or Administrative Head Nurse as necessary.
- Maintain accurate monetary exchange for the sale of newspapers and coordinate delivery of mail, flowers, and gifts.
- Escort patients to assigned areas, sign them into Epic, and announce patients to registration.
- Initiate regular contact with Environmental Services and Plant Operations to ensure lobby areas are maintained in a clean and organized condition.
- Explain parking fee structures and provide information about discount programs available to guests experiencing extended stays or repeat visits.
- Demonstrate knowledge and maintain close working relationships with all departments within the Medical Center to provide exceptional service to our guests.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; computer training and experience in front desk/reception or hospitality preferred.
- One to two years of working experience required; bi-lingual skills, particularly Spanish, are a plus.
