The Parking Services Representative is tasked with delivering efficient transportation solutions for patients attending outpatient medical appointments. This role includes managing cash and coupon transactions for parking, assisting guests with vehicle-related inquiries, and providing valet services while maintaining thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors courteously, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Safely transport guest vehicles to designated parking areas and return them promptly when required.
- Adhere to all local motor vehicle regulations while operating vehicles.
- Assist guests with mobility aids as needed, ensuring a smooth transition in and out of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle tags, claim numbers, and key locations.
- Ensure vehicles are returned in their original condition.
- Collaborate with team members to keep staging areas organized and traffic flowing smoothly.
- Direct emergency vehicles and manage pedestrian traffic during critical situations.
- Investigate and report any incidents occurring within the valet area, guiding patrons on the next steps.
- Notify security and supervisors in case of any accidents.
- Transport patients between their homes and various departments as necessary.
- Complete daily logs for patient pickups and fuel usage as required.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle, addressing maintenance needs promptly.
- Process both revenue and non-revenue traffic efficiently at parking exits.
- Coordinate traffic flow at intersections and ensure pedestrian safety.
- Monitor and troubleshoot parking equipment as needed.
- Verify cash deposits and enforce proper cash handling procedures.
- Assist in wheelchair collection and coordinate with guest services for availability.
- Keep workstations and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Document any unusual events or incidents that deviate from standard operations.
- Anticipate and respond to the diverse needs of patients based on their age, culture, and other factors.
- Complete all required procedures at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure service consistency.
- Adhere to the organizational competencies established by the Medical Center.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in driving.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bilingual abilities.
- Experience in cash handling.
- Additional driving experience.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver's License from a U.S. state.
