About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Information and Guest Services Representative to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests in a courteous and professional manner, providing directions and information about Medical Center services and policies.
  • Respond to requests for visitor passes, distribute passes, and file returned passes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide assistance with wayfinding, including providing maps and directions to Medical Center services.
  • Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner, taking accurate messages and referring callers as needed.
  • Enforce Access Control policies, alerting Security to any violations and assisting with Code 76 at Guest Services lobbies.
  • Intervene to resolve operational challenges and problem-solve to resolve guest complaints and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate monetary exchange for the sale of newspapers and coordinate delivery of mail, flowers, and gifts.
  • Escorts patients to assigned areas and signs patients into Epic in the Cancer Center.
  • Announces Cancer Center patients to registration and makes confirmation phone calls for Cancer Center patients.
  • Initiates regular contact with Environmental Services and Plant Operations to communicate service requests necessary to maintain lobby areas.
  • Explains parking fee structure and provides information about discount programs available to guests experiencing an extended stay.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and maintains close working relationships with all departments within the Medical Center to provide the best possible service to our guests.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Typing ability required.
  • One to two years of working experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer training preferred.
  • One to two years of experience in a front desk/reception position or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual preferred, with Spanish preferred.
