About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Patient Accounting Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls from patients, resolving their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Verify and update patient information, including demographics, insurance, and other relevant details.
  • Provide patients with clear and concise information about their accounts, including billing and payment options.
  • Work closely with the Department of Consumer Affairs to achieve optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Investigate and resolve billing issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with NJ State reporting and other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or two years of college preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms, with experience in EPIC a plus.
