About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Information and Guest Services Representative to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests in a courteous and professional manner, providing directions and information about Medical Center services and policies.
  • Respond to requests for visitor passes, maintain accurate records, and enforce access control policies.
  • Provide assistance with wayfinding, distribute visitor passes, and file returned passes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Answer telephone calls, take accurate messages, and refer callers to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Enforce access control policies, alert Security to any violations, and assist with Code 76 at Guest Services lobbies.
  • Intervene to resolve operational challenges, problem-solve, and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate monetary exchange for the sale of newspapers, coordinate delivery of mail, flowers, and gifts, and escort patients to assigned areas.
  • Sign-in patients into Epic, announce patients to registration, and make confirmation phone calls for Cancer Center patients.
  • Initiate regular contact with Environmental Services and Plant Operations to maintain lobby areas, public bathrooms, and wheelchairs in a clean and organized condition.
  • Explain parking fee structure and provide information about discount programs available to guests experiencing an extended stay or repeat visits.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and maintain close working relationships with all departments within the Medical Center to provide the best possible service to our guests.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; computer training and experience in front desk/reception or hospitality preferred.
  • One to two years of working experience required; bi-lingual skills, particularly Spanish, preferred.
