Overview:


The Junior HR Business Partner is a dedicated HR professional who fosters trusted relationships with management and their teams to provide a high level of value-added service and advocate for positive organizational change.

This position offers 'senior generalist' level support and guidance in essential Human Resources areas throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.

Moreover, the Junior HR Business Partner will oversee the recruitment process for salaried blue-collar, non-manufacturing positions for the Direct Distribution operations.


The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid model, balancing time between onsite and remote work.


Responsibilities:
Business Partnership

Collaborate with organizational leaders and the Corporate HR Director to execute HR strategies that align with business goals

Assist in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive onboarding program to integrate new employees into designated business units

Work collaboratively on the development and execution of ongoing learning and training initiatives to promote employee growth and enhance operational effectiveness

Facilitate the annual talent review and succession planning process with leadership; develop action plans for talent priorities and partner with leaders on implementation

Support the ongoing performance management process, offering guidance and training on performance feedback, goal setting, and development plans

Contribute to the formulation of strategies that positively influence employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture

Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, problem-solving, and conducting formal investigations

Facilitate the offboarding process for departing employees; assist management with work transition planning and backfill strategies

Implement company-wide HR programs, policies, and procedures; recommend modifications or adjustments for assigned business units

Talent Acquisition

Oversee the complete recruitment process for blue-collar, non-manufacturing roles, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring

Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop hiring strategies and a talent pipeline to fill vacancies; participate in local job fairs and recruiting events as necessary

Ensure compliance by adhering to recruitment processes, rules, and regulations, including proper documentation and candidate dispositioning

Maintain accurate and organized records on all candidates, searches, and hiring manager interactions to ensure audit readiness

Manage the applicant tracking system to ensure precise record-keeping

Qualifications:
Experience and Education:

2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity; experience providing HR support across multiple business locations is strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required; equivalent experience will be considered

Experience in conducting employee relations investigations

Some recruiting experience is preferred, but not mandatory

PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certifications are advantageous

Skills and Abilities:
Engage with employees and establish strong relationships with management

Ability to comprehend the link between HR strategies, business objectives, and operational needs

Adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks; effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on customer service and results

Strong communication and consultative skills; capable of simplifying complex situations or ideas into clear, digestible formats

Confidently navigate change in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment

Ability to understand and interpret relevant employment laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies as they pertain to the organization

Solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to identifying business gaps and resolving issues

Proficiency with HRIS and recruiting software is a plus

Travel:
Willingness to travel for client group business meetings or location visits, as necessary. Travel will typically not exceed 10-15% of the time.

Standard and Physical Requirements:
This position requires prolonged sitting, standing, manual dexterity, bending, and minimal lifting
