Octa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business units and driving strategic initiatives that align with our company's goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic HR guidance and support to assigned business units, including compensation, classification, performance management, recruitment, selection, employee benefits, and other special projects.
- Manage projects and lead committees to implement HR-related initiatives, including the development and implementation of new systems, methods, and procedures.
- Update HR policies and procedures as needed, communicate updates and process changes to assigned customer groups and HR personnel, and assist in the implementation of new policies and procedures.
- Build and lead cross-training plans and efforts for HR positions, maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, and ensure agency compliance.
- Present HR-related training programs agency-wide and build relationships with managers from all divisions to provide guidance and support on HR-related issues.
- May supervise staff that support HR Business Partner activities.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field with a minimum of five years of Human Resources experience, with experience/knowledge as an HR generalist. Supervisory/managerial experience desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex HR issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and HR staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
