Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Alfond Youth and Community Center is seeking dedicated lifeguards to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all pool visitors. In this role, you will acquire essential skills such as CPR and first aid while enhancing your customer service expertise. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and supervise the pool environment.
  • Guarantee the safety of all patrons in and around the pool.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation during open swim sessions.
  • Conduct necessary pool testing as required.
  • Advise on supplies and equipment needed to uphold maintenance and safety standards for the pool area.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to identify emergencies and respond effectively, both in the water and on land.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with the public and staff at various levels.
  • Exemplary customer service abilities.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:

  • Must hold certifications in Lifesaving, CPR, and First Aid. Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
