Position Summary:

The Finished Goods Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory and distribution processes of completed products. This role operates primarily during daytime hours, ensuring that all finished goods adhere to quality standards and are dispatched according to the established schedule. The FG Manager plays a critical role in supervising the finished goods warehouse, managing stock levels, and collaborating with the logistics team to fulfill customer demands. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with a keen focus on quality assurance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Supervise the finished goods inventory management process, ensuring precise and efficient handling of products designated for shipment.
  • Shipping Coordination: Oversee the loading and dispatching of finished goods, guaranteeing that all items are securely packaged and sent to distribution centers in optimal condition.
  • Schedule Management: Administer the daily outbound logistics schedule, working closely with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • System Utilization: Employ Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Excel, and SAP for tracking shipments, monitoring inventory, and ensuring product accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Adjust outbound processes as necessary to meet shipping deadlines and adapt to fluctuations in order volumes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate team performance to ensure efficient resource utilization in achieving shipping and inventory management objectives.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, proactively addressing their shipping and inventory needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the finished goods process and client expectations.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any shipment discrepancies or delays.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting their requirements for finished goods efficiently.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Complete all shipping documentation accurately and submit it to the relevant departments promptly.
  • Enforce safety protocols and policies within the finished goods area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and positive work environment in the finished goods warehouse.
  • Adhere to all established safety programs and company standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire the finished goods warehouse team, promoting high productivity and efficiency levels.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on inventory management and shipping procedures.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff, fostering talent development.
  • Communicate departmental goals and performance expectations to team members.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory, outbound shipments, and any issues encountered during shipping.
  • Compile reports on inventory status, shipping progress, and any discrepancies.
  • Implement data quality checks to ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipping information.
  • Create reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators related to finished goods management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations, focusing on finished goods management.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and inventory management practices.
  • Ability to cultivate trustworthy relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with WMS and SAP.
  • Team-oriented with the capability to lead and develop staff in a dynamic environment.
  • Korean bilingualism is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is primarily based in a manufacturing facility and may require shift changes.
  • May involve working outside of regular hours to meet operational needs.
