Position Summary:

The Raw Material Manager is tasked with managing the inventory and supply chain of raw materials essential for production. This role operates within a shift-based framework, ensuring that raw materials are adequately stocked by coordinating transportation plans between production facilities and external storage sites. The RM Manager is pivotal in production scheduling, developing comprehensive material input strategies, overseeing shift activities, and refining processes to enhance operational efficiency. Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, rotational shift environment are crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Supervise raw material inventory processes, ensuring stock levels align with production needs.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee the transfer of raw materials between production sites and storage facilities, ensuring prompt and precise shuttle operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement procedures to guarantee the quality and accuracy of raw material handling, minimizing waste and adhering to production timelines.
  • Inventory Tracking: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Excel, and SAP for monitoring inventory transactions and managing material flow.
  • Shift Supervision: Lead shift operations, ensuring efficient execution of raw material handling.

Production Planning:

  • Formulate and oversee raw material input plans in collaboration with the production planning team.
  • Communicate material requirements to warehouse staff and production teams.
  • Adjust input schedules based on production demands to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies in all raw material handling processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and production inputs.

Team Leadership:

  • Guide and develop the raw material handling team, fostering high productivity and accuracy.
  • Provide training on inventory management and safety protocols.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of raw material transactions and inventory levels.
  • Generate reports on inventory status and production inputs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations, focusing on inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of material handling and production support.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with WMS and SAP.
