Waste Connections is seeking a Customer Service Representative to enhance our operations.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Starting pay is $19.00/hour with opportunities for regular pay increases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with various departments to address customer concerns and become adept in proprietary operational systems.
  • Engage with customers to gather information and input it into our systems, handling requests for service initiation, modifications, or cancellations.
  • Complete contract documentation, assess service charges, collect deposits, manage address changes, and issue service termination orders.
  • Exhibit proficiency in software applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Deliver customer services that foster goodwill, working closely with customers and Waste Connections staff to identify service needs and resolve issues.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume call environment, promoting additional services.
  • Provide coverage for the reception area as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • The role is based in an office setting that is clean, well-ventilated, and adequately lit. Customer Service Representatives typically have dedicated workstations equipped with necessary tools.
  • Call areas may be noisy, and the work can be repetitive and demanding, requiring excellent service delivery.
  • Extended periods of sitting, typing, or screen time are common.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and email is preferred. Typing and 10-key skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Capability to analyze issues and compile data for reporting.
