Reinsurance Operations Manager

Position Overview:

At Aon, we are seeking a Director of Reinsurance Operations to lead our client services team with expertise in data management, operational efficiency, and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all regional business activities, ensuring the achievement of established Key Performance Indicators.
  • Generate and maintain ad hoc reports utilizing SQL and Excel for various stakeholders including Client Services, Brokers, and Finance.
  • Develop and implement Client Promise Plans tailored to each client, focusing on revenue growth and service delivery.
  • Manage project initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Client Services, maintaining project documentation and updates.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure project scope, quality, and timelines are met.
  • Facilitate integration initiatives stemming from mergers and operational transformations.
  • Identify operational trends and collaborate with leadership to devise improvement strategies.
  • Assist in budget reviews for client engagements, ensuring resource allocation aligns with financial goals.
  • Create professional presentations for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Establish a quality assurance program within the department to uphold service standards.
  • Proactively engage in training and development to enhance team capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards through effective monitoring processes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external partners to resolve inquiries and provide support.
  • Participate in global initiatives, potentially leading various projects.
  • Update technical manuals and relevant documentation as necessary.
  • May involve direct client engagement as a Claims and/or Accounting Advocate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT, Data, Operations, Project Management, or Client Services, preferably within insurance or reinsurance.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., Prince2 or PMP) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
