Position Summary:
The Underwriting Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the underwriting team by managing daily processes and activities. This position collaborates closely with underwriters to effectively prioritize workloads and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Support:
    • Assist underwriters in analyzing loss portfolio transfers and preparing reinsurance treaty submissions.
    • Help manage the distribution of tasks and priorities within the underwriting team.
    • Contribute to the upkeep of internal actuarial and underwriting resources.
  • Due Diligence Coordination:
    • Work alongside underwriters and claims adjusters to collect necessary information for due diligence and underwriting support.
    • Participate in due diligence and file assessments at partner locations.
  • Collaboration with Partners:
    • Facilitate alignment between Capital and Accounting practices in collaboration with the finance team.
    • Support technical analysis efforts within the global underwriting framework.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance environments, with a proven track record of leading projects and coordinating across various departments.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience in U.S. Workers Compensation, General Liability, Construction Defect, Professional Liability, and Property exposures.

Work Environment:
This position may require occasional periods of sitting, standing, bending, or stooping. Some limited travel may be necessary.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is between $64,000 and $98,000, with actual salaries varying based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program.
