A leading property and casualty firm is in search of a Senior Risk Management Analyst specializing in Enterprise Risk.
The ideal candidate will work closely with fellow members of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team on diverse initiatives, emphasizing casualty accumulation, catastrophe modeling, cyber risk assessment, and the identification of emerging threats.
This role requires a strong ability to manage both quantitative and qualitative data. Support for actuarial examinations will be available for those interested in obtaining an actuarial credential.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee casualty accumulation processes.
Assist in developing the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes for casualty-related data.
Conduct analysis and visualization of casualty accumulations across insured entities, lines of business, and industries to provide critical insights to leadership.
Help create casualty catastrophe scenarios by analyzing historical data and identifying emerging risks.
Model intricate casualty reinsurance structures.
Support the evaluation of cyber insurance exposures and the modeling of potential cyber catastrophe scenarios.
Engage in research on emerging risks, such as climate change, and assess their implications on property and casualty lines, invested assets, and overall business operations.
Evaluate and monitor risk aggregation in property and workers' compensation.Assist in ERM reporting tasks, including the preparation of materials for senior management, rating agencies, and regulatory bodies.
Contribute to the automation and management of essential risk processes and projects.
Support the establishment and upkeep of risk assessment protocols across both domestic and international business units.
Engage in discussions with leaders from various business units as well as senior executives from other corporate functions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
Advanced degree is preferred
Experience with casualty lines of business
Proficiency in R or Python and Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
Self-motivated to conduct research on a variety of risk-related topics
Knowledge of data engineering is preferred
Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society designation is preferred
