Position Summary:
The Underwriting Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the underwriting team by managing daily operations and assisting in prioritizing tasks. This position involves conducting underwriting analysis, generating reports, and collaborating with underwriters to compile due diligence and technical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis & Opinion Development:
- Assist underwriters in analyzing loss portfolio transfers and evaluating reinsurance treaty submissions.
- Help manage workload and prioritize tasks within the underwriting team.
- Maintain internal actuarial and underwriting tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Due Diligence:
- Work closely with underwriters, claims adjusters, and operations to gather necessary information for due diligence and underwriting support.
- Participate in due diligence and file reviews at various locations.
- Partner Coordination:
- Facilitate alignment of capital and accounting practices with the finance team.
- Support technical analysis within the global underwriting function.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $64,000 to $98,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive program.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance sectors, with a proven track record of managing projects and collaborating across departments.
- A four-year degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Preferred experience in U.S. Workers Compensation, General Liability, Construction Defect, Professional Liability, and Property exposures.
Work Environment:
This position may require periods of sitting, standing, bending, or stooping, and may involve limited domestic or international travel.
