Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in attracting qualified candidates for admission to South University, adhering to state and federal guidelines as well as institutional policies. This position emphasizes ethical recruitment practices and effective management of time and resources to foster interest in our diverse educational offerings. The Enrollment Specialist will engage in a high volume of outreach through phone communications to secure appointments and conduct interviews, while also following up with prospective students and applicants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thoroughly articulate educational programs, anticipated outcomes, student services, and financial implications to prospective students, their families, and educational partners.
  • Effectively manage inquiries to meet weekly outreach goals; implement approved recruitment strategies; ensure timely and impactful communication with inquiries and redirect unsuitable candidates based on misaligned career aspirations.
  • Generate new inquiries by actively soliciting referrals from current contacts regarding potential candidates interested in our programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, pursuing qualified candidates for enrollment and assessing their compatibility with our academic offerings.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of prospective student enrollment to admissions leadership on a regular basis.
  • Conduct consistent follow-up meetings with all applicants to facilitate successful enrollment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assist in data collection and problem resolution.
  • Engage in various recruitment and enrollment initiatives, including open houses, community outreach, and career days.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field with at least one year of successful admissions or sales experience, or an Associate’s degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • A genuine passion for assisting individuals in achieving their educational and career objectives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both faculty and student populations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Goal-oriented with a commitment to ethical practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant software systems.
  • Able to work effectively as a leader or team member and collaborate with various departments.
  • Skilled in listening to and understanding customer needs and responding positively.
  • Adaptable to changing tasks and priorities.
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines efficiently.
