We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Care Specialist to join our team at Metro Community Health Center. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist dentists and hygienists in providing quality dental care and services to patients, including preparing patients for treatment, taking and processing x-rays, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with Clinical Duties: Assist with various clinical duties, including preparing instruments, taking impressions, and performing blood pressure monitoring and HBA1C point of care testing.
  • Maintain Patient Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and related administrative documentation.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients on oral hygiene and dental care, including proper tooth brushing, flossing, and nutrition.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with dental staff, patient access specialists, and other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of a dental assistant program as required by the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Certifications: Current Radiation Safety Certificate, CPR Certification, and certification in Office Practice or enrollment in such a program.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success in working independently, prioritization, and problem-solving, with excellent customer service and patient care skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to move freely and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Normal clinic working environment, with occasional overtime and extended work hours.
