Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hatchery Supervisor to join our team at Foster Farms. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hatchery, ensuring the highest quality of chick production while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the production of up to 500,000 chicks daily, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain labor efficiencies, optimizing production workflows and minimizing waste.
  • Provide safety training and conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage inventory of chemicals and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment.
  • Supervise and develop the skills of employees and drivers, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Coordinate labor needs with other hatcheries, ensuring seamless production and delivery.
  • Manage employee timecards and working schedules, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Evaluate employee performance, taking disciplinary action as needed to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Develop and execute hatchery programs, procedures, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Attend department meetings, providing updates and insights to inform business decisions.
