We have developed a proprietary and patent-pending technology that merges 3D printing with automated textile production. By bypassing the traditional 2D fabric stage, we can construct custom apparel products directly from yarn to the final item.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the inaugural Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor on unspun's Engineering Operations team, you will utilize your technical expertise and seasoned project management abilities to propel unspun into its next significant growth phase. This role presents an exciting opportunity to design and implement manufacturing processes from inception, fostering innovation and efficiency as we launch our first product.
You will collaborate with our hardware and textile engineers, cultivate strong external partnerships with contract manufacturers and suppliers, and begin to build and mentor our manufacturing team.
Your experience in overcoming the challenges of scaling hardware will be invaluable, and you will thrive in the dynamic environment of early-stage development.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain management.
- A solid understanding of strategic sourcing, financial analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in various project management and database tools.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, with a strong grasp of manufacturing processes and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is preferred.

The compensation for this position ranges from $138,000 to $168,000 annually, complemented by equity options. Additional benefits include:
