Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate a safe working environment for all team members.

Organize and oversee daily tank utilization for finished products.

Conduct thorough inventories of prepared ingredients and reconcile them with the forthcoming production schedule. Alert the Supervisor regarding any inconsistencies between the staged inventory and the planned schedule.


Maintain all Cleaning in Place (CIP) and Cleaning Logs in Redzone; ensure the team tests all rinse water for pH levels and chemical titration.

Ensure the team is prepared for the arrival of liquid tankers, ensuring proper documentation in Redzone/Ross.

Ensure ATP swabs and allergen tests are performed post-CIPs in batching and production equipment.

Adjust product batches (Brix, Acid, pH, Solids, density) as necessary.

Demonstrate proficiency in all Production and Blending Ross functions.

Accurately input production and blending data into Redzone.

Ensure all Redzone checks are completed accurately and signed off promptly.

Ensure the team meticulously documents cleanings, MSS, lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas in accordance with customer regulations.

Exhibit proficiency with all Markem software and related equipment.

Understand and execute sanitation responsibilities for batching and production areas.

Coordinate training for new operators and provide refresher training for existing team members.


Direct and allocate batching tasks to ensure a consistent supply of finished products for production lines as required.

Adhere to and monitor all GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and SOP guidelines.

Comprehend and comply with plant safety and quality regulations, including the use of PPE, safe lifting practices, and safe machine operation.

Operate forklifts, walkies, and manual pallet jacks.

Learn and operate the UHT as necessary.

Conduct visual inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions.

Communicate and assist maintenance teams with issues and breakdowns in batching and production areas.

Manage equipment startup and shutdown procedures.

Foster and maintain positive and professional relationships with all employees and management.

Ensure products meet quality and customer specifications.

Collaborate with the QA department to evaluate and approve product quality.

Enhance plant efficiency and coordinate operational needs accordingly.

Report unsafe practices and/or equipment issues.

Assist Supervisors in investigating incidents.

Ensure Net Content is achieved on every production run prior to completion.

Drive and execute rework as necessary.

Guide team members to their positions as required and upcoming tasks (CIPs, Product Changes, Rework, PayCom Training)

Document and communicate shift notes effectively.

Operate equipment as needed (during call-ins, breaks, and lunches)

Mentor and train team members to enhance their knowledge and performance.

Ensure team members receive their scheduled breaks and lunches.


Communicate to the incoming shift regarding production status, results from the previous day, and prepare the team for the next operational period.

Set up, adjust, and maintain equipment while being accountable for production and quality outcomes.

Other duties as assigned by supervisors or plant management.

Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Suite) (Ross, Redzone, Excel, Markem, Pressco, Vision System, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

Required:
High School Diploma/GED.

At least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing.

Proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English is essential; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb stairs and ladders, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Possess strong mechanical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow and convey instructions effectively.

Competent in basic arithmetic operations and able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

This position is classified as Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime). The expected hourly rate for this position is between $23.00 – $27.50 per hour based on a full-time schedule. Factors such as location, confirmed job-related skills, and experience will be considered in determining the actual hourly rate.
