Position Overview
Chemours is seeking a Project Manager to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in overseeing engineering analyses, technical evaluations, and project planning functions. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects that focus on the development of new facilities or the enhancement of existing ones, typically involving significant capital investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to design and implement new facilities and upgrade current processes aligned with business goals.
  • Assess alternative design concepts and specific scope options through life cycle cost analysis.
  • Prepare discipline-specific scopes of work, estimates, and specifications, ensuring compliance with corporate and recognized industrial standards.
  • Establish asset capitalization and project accounting structures.
  • Create a comprehensive project schedule that includes critical design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness tasks.
  • Engage with contractor design resources and equipment suppliers to address design challenges and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project costs by forecasting expenditures and applying effective change management practices.
  • Ensure the successful completion of all project deliverables by overseeing scheduled activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in chemical or mechanical disciplines.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience, ideally in titanium dioxide manufacturing or capital project management.
Preferred Skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in building consensus among diverse workgroups regarding scopes of work.
  • Strong facilitation skills for conducting meetings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with mechanical integrity and quality assurance standards.
  • Completion of project management training or equivalent (e.g., PMP certification).
  • Understanding of project economics development methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable project scopes.
  • Expertise in preparing estimates and creating integrated schedules while analyzing task durations and critical paths.
