Job Summary

This position provides critical engineering support and project management for plant operations, driving efficiency and productivity improvements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute plant engineering and capital projects, ensuring scope, cost, justification, timing, and execution are aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and workflow optimization strategies to enhance plant efficiency.
  • Lead the development of productivity improvement initiatives, focusing on process enhancements and equipment upgrades.
  • Oversee plant infrastructure to maintain and enhance reliability, including compressed air, chilled water, tower water, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Provide general plant engineering support as required, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement engineering, PPE, and training solutions to high-exposure areas based on near-miss or incident reports.
  • Develop training documentation for equipment and best demonstrated manufacturing methodology, improving the preventive maintenance program through the growth of E-Maintenance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma + 5 years of experience in manufacturing and maintenance.
  • Preferred: Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical).
  • Required: 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience with emphasis on utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment, as well as project execution.
  • Preferred: Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Project), and experience in plastics manufacturing equipment.
  • Drawing Skills: 2D CAD drawing skills for plant layouts and equipment requests, with 3D modeling capability a plus.
  • Industrial Electricity and Controls: Basic knowledge of industrial power distribution, basic understanding of ladder logic and control systems, and pneumatic control design a plus.
