Chemours is currently seeking a Chemical Engineering Co-op to join our dynamic team. This role will report to the Engineering Supervisor.

As a Chemical Engineering Co-op, you will collaborate closely with our team, gaining invaluable hands-on experience through various projects within a chemical manufacturing environment. You will engage in real-time engineering tasks alongside seasoned professionals, applying your academic knowledge in practical settings.

Successful candidates will demonstrate effective communication skills, self-awareness, and a natural curiosity.

Location: Not specified

Hours: Standard full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

Commitment: Candidates must be prepared to commit to a minimum of six months in this co-op role, with the possibility of additional terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers on enhancement and expansion initiatives.
  • Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Engage in process safety management activities and evaluations.
  • Contribute to team discussions and conference calls.

Qualifications Required:

  • Enrollment in an accredited college or university as a rising sophomore or higher.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active participation in relevant extracurricular activities, organizations, and projects.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
