Job Overview

Position Title: Restaurant Shift Leader

POSITION SUMMARY: The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in supporting the Assistant Manager and General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that all activities align with and promote the restaurant's strategic objectives. This position is responsible for guaranteeing that all Team Members fulfill their job roles effectively and meet the established performance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure exceptional hospitality service; proactively address and fulfill guest needs; manage situations and requests promptly and positively.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the restaurant's operations to identify potential issues; take immediate action to resolve any identified problems.
  • Uphold and enforce all quality, service, and cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Oversee staffing levels and manage labor costs effectively.
  • Foster a welcoming environment for both Team Members and Guests.
  • Provide training, guidance, and supervision to Team Members.
  • Support initiatives aimed at maximizing sales and profits while minimizing controllable expenses.
  • Plan, organize, and execute all operational tasks and routines during shifts.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with management and fellow Team Members.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and security protocols.
  • Present a professional appearance that meets company standards at all times.
  • Adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in high-temperature environments.
  • Ability to work closely with others.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with various cleaning agents.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or an emancipated minor with proper documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early morning and late-night shifts.
  • Reliable transportation and communication method with the restaurant.
