Job Overview

Position Title: Restaurant Shift Leader

POSITION SUMMARY: The Shift Leader plays a vital role in assisting the Assistant Manager and General Manager with operational responsibilities, ensuring that all activities align with and promote the restaurant's strategic objectives. This position is responsible for overseeing Team Members to ensure they fulfill their job duties and meet performance expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure exceptional hospitality service by anticipating and addressing guest needs promptly and positively.
  • Proactively monitor restaurant operations to identify and resolve potential issues swiftly.
  • Uphold and enforce all quality, service, and cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Manage staffing levels and labor costs effectively.
  • Foster a welcoming environment for both Team Members and Guests.
  • Provide training, guidance, and supervision to Team Members.
  • Support initiatives aimed at maximizing sales and profits while minimizing controllable expenses.
  • Plan, organize, and execute all operational tasks during shifts efficiently.
  • Maintain a collaborative and positive working relationship with management and Team Members.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and security protocols.
  • Exhibit professionalism and adhere to company appearance standards at all times.
  • Recognize and comply with all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies to maintain a safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in high-temperature environments.
  • Ability to work closely with others.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning agents.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or an emancipated minor with appropriate documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early and late shifts.
  • Reliable transportation and communication methods are required.
